Client Overview

Fish Gods’ Mission to Reduce Environmental Plastic Waste

Product Concept: Clean Earth Bag

Fish Gods, an outdoor outfitter founded by passionate outdoors enthusiasts, identified a need for a practical solution to combat the growing issue of plastic pollution encountered when fishing in lakes and rivers. The company designed a collapsible plastic net bag—known as the Clean Earth Bag—intended to make it simple for users to collect and remove plastic waste during outdoor activities. The features prioritized for the product included durability, collapsibility, drainability, reusability, and field-ready ruggedness to support cleanup efforts by anglers and outdoor communities.

Partnering with RSP for Prototyping

After researching potential manufacturing partners, Fish Gods engaged RSP to prototype the Clean Earth Bag. RSP applied its deep supply chain knowledge and relationships to work with a textile factory in China capable of fabricating the net-based bag according to Fish Gods’ design specifications. Multiple rounds of sampling and iteration were completed to refine the design and ensure the product met functional and quality expectations. Fish Gods valued the collaborative process and the ability of RSP to translate their conceptual drawings into a working prototype ready for production

Communication and Collaboration

A key factor in the success of the project was RSP’s commitment to clear, consistent communication throughout the prototyping process. Fish Gods highlighted that RSP kept them apprised of developments, responded to questions promptly, and provided guidance through design changes. This open communication helped ensure alignment and fostered confidence as the prototype evolved toward market readiness.

Outcome and Impact

The partnership culminated in a successful prototype of the Clean Earth Bag that fulfilled Fish Gods’ criteria for durability, functionality, and field usability. Fish Gods emphasized their satisfaction with RSP’s customer service, responsiveness, and technical support throughout the process—asserting that RSP’s efforts were instrumental in preparing the Clean Earth Bag for market launch and helping empower customers to clean up plastic waste during outdoor activities.
